Kodak Black recently shared a few words of wisdom with a youth football team in Florida about why they should avoid using drugs.
"Say no to drugs," Kodak said. "They too good, y’all gone like 'em and go crazy."
While most people, like ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith, have used an aggressive approach when telling people to stay away from drugs, Kodak struck a different, more confessional, tone in an effort to get through to the youth.
Kodak also stressed the importance of receiving an education, as well as learning the importance of teamwork and brotherhood. It's clear that the 27-year-old has good intentions behind his message and does not want to see the next generation fall into the same potholes as he did.
Kodak revealed the depths of his addiction to Percocets during a show in June.
"When I was at my stage, chewing on them Percs, I ain't gonna say I popped them bitches," he told the crowd. "But when I was at my stage, I was chewing like – bruh, I swear to God and my n***as will vouch – I was chewing 100 Percs a day, man. Average like 40. Average!"
Similar to his speech to the youth football team, the "Super Gremlin" rapper chose to be shrewdly honest to prevent others from going down a similar path.
"Bruh, I say that, I'm explaining myself now," he added. "I don't want y'all to hear that and take that and feel like it's okay to do that shit, ya feel me?"
