Back in 2015, Joel Embiid and Chandler Parsons met in Los Angeles through mutual friends while going through some tough yet somewhat common circumstances. At the time, Parsons was rehabbing from surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee while Embiid continued to work his way back from lingering foot issues. “That’s my guy. That’s one of my best friends. We always joke around,” Embiid toldCSN Philly. “He helped me. I think he was hurt at the same time. He told me, take my time, make sure you don’t push anything.”
After going back to their respective teams, it appears that Embiid and Parsons' friendship has not only remained strong, but they have continued to joke around with one another through social media. There was the time Embiid left a comment in Parson's Instagram account, telling him, "I'm gonna cook your ass tomorrow." Then, there was the time Parsons posted this photo of a woman telling him to check his DMs.
Embiid offered some sage advice in the comment section: "Bruh You better smash."
On Monday, Embiid went on the offensive once again during Parsons' live video on Instagram.
