This Saturday, September 17, Floyd “Money” Mayweather—boxing’s most controversial and profitable fighter—is making his return to the ring to fight Victor Ortiz for the WBC welterweight title. And while we're excited to see all the action that will take place between these two boxers, we're also anticipating what crazy, off-the-wall things Floyd will say leading up to the match. After all, Mayweather has become just as famous for the quotes, controversies and insults that he's delivered outside of the ring, as for the punishment he's administered inside. Everyone from Oscar De La Hoya to Rick Ross to Floyd Mayweather, Sr. have been victims of verbal jabs from Money Mayweather. So, in anticipation of this weekend’s fight, we bring you Floyd Mayweather's 10 Craziest Trash-Talking Moments...

10. Taking Shots At Mixed Martial Arts

Date: 7/21/2009
Craziest Line: "Mixed martial arts is for beer drinkers."
The debate over boxing v. MMA has been raging for years now and there seems to be no end of it in sight. In this clip, Money Mayweather sums up MMA as a barbaric sport which can't be taken seriously, and made a new enemy in UFC president Dana White. Wait, isn't this the same dude who took up wrestling in the WWE while one of his boxing hiatuses? #justsayin'...

9. Ethers Shane Mosley

Date: 10/20/2009
Craziest Line: "Shane Moseley...a guy who's extremely desperate."
After defeating Juan Manuel Marquez, Mayweather was asked about his thoughts on facing Shane Mosely and he didn't hold back. Floyd said Sugar Shane was a desperate and washed-up steroid user. Of course, the script flipped later on when the Mayweather v. Mosley bout was set and promoted as an intriguing match-up. Gotta love boxing.

8. What If Mayweather, Jr. Were White?

Date: 2009
Craziest Line: "When you talking boxing, you talking me."
We're not gonna lie, Mayweather made some good points about being the biggest draw in boxing and that the sport needs him but everything went downhill when he tried to turn it into a white-black issue. C'mon man, leave that for ESPN.

7. Puts Larry Merchant In His Place

Date: 11/4/2006
Craziest Line: "Larry Merchant's just a commentator, he don't know nothing about boxing."
After winning the WBC, The Ring, and IBA welterweight titles in his victory over Carlos Baldomir, Floyd Mayweather Jr. had this testy interview with Larry Merchant. The journalist began to question Mayweather about the crowd being aggrevated with Mayweather's fighting style during the bout and the boxer quickly took offense. Floyd may want to watch that mouth, Merchant has been known to get gully during post-fight interviews. Word to this dude.

6. Racks on Racks on Racks

Date: 9/5/2011
Craziest Line: Yeah, I seen my daddy on 24/7, yeah, he was hatin'."
Pretending that huge stacks of money are phones? SMH, only Mayweather and Fif would be up to this ridiculous shit. Truth is, we'd love to have one of those convos.

5. Racist Rant Towards Pacquiao

Date: 9/2/2010
Craziest Line: "Once I stomp the midget, I'mma make that motherfucker make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice...you know how it is baby, we gonna cook that motherfucker with some cats and dogs."
In his most regrettable ranting moment, Mayweather started spewing some racist remarks towards Manny Pacquiao and the Filipino community. Not only were his racist comments ridiculous, but the fighter showed himself in an even more ignorant light when he incorrectly associated one Asian cuisine with another culture. Hey Floyd: Sushi, tempura, and teppanyaki are Japanese cuisine, not Filipino dishes. You might want to try adobo, mechado, or a bowl of halo-halo. Damn, now we're hungry.

4. Beef with Ricky Rozay Gets Personal

Date: 11/16/2009
Craziest Line: "Floyd, they want to get in with you first, the picture with the money."
Actions speak a whole lot louder than words sometimes. This beef between Rick Ross and Floyd Mayweather began after the Maybach Music Group leader took a shot at the boxer on the song, "Mafia Music." Months later, 50 Cent (also beefing with Ross at the time) put out this video which shows himself and Floyd appearing with Ross' son and baby mama, Tia, at Mayweather's mansion. DEAD at Tia asking for her and the kids to pose with Mayweather and his stacks of money.. Side bar: WTF was Diddy doing there during this fuckery?

3. Gives Birth to HBO's 24/7 and Sons De La Hoya

Date: April 2007
Craziest Line: "I'mma beat you 'til you respect me. I'mma beat you and make you call me pretty!"
We'll give it to Floyd: trash talking like this is really what made HBO's 24/7 series a hit. But the "I'mma beat you and make you call me pretty," line though? That pause-worthy talk seems more fitting for Lockup than a reality series about boxing.

2. Attacks Victor Ortiz

Date: 9/9/2011
Craziest Line: "De La Hoya a ho, flat out. He gay and he a ho. Victor Ortiz a ho, too. He let a man massage him and the other one wearing fishnet."
In the most recent episode of HBO's 24/7 Mayweather vs. Ortiz, Pretty Boy Floyd spits venom at his upcoming opponent, Victor Ortiz, and an old foe, Oscar De La Hoya. This clip got us thinking: How much do members of the Mayweather camp get paid to hear him talk shit all day and laugh at his jokes help him train to become the undefeated boxer that he is today?

1. Father vs. Son

Date: 8/29/2011
Craziest Line: "You couldn't fight worth shit, you wasn't nothing but a motherfuckin' cab driver! Get the fuck out my gym!"
Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesn't just have feuds with his opponents in the ring, he also has some beef with his own pops. Floyd Mayweather, Sr. has been in and out of his son's life since 2000 when Mayweather, Jr. defeated Gregorio Vargas and began training exclusively with his uncle, Roger Mayweather. Forget going on Dr. Phil, we think this can all be settled with some sort of family battle royal. This would all be televised, of course.
