Draymond Green Watched His Son's Birth on FaceTime While on a Plane

"Thank God for technology." When Draymond Green met with reporters prior to his team's game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday night, Green couldn't help but express his appreciation for the invention of FaceTime, which allowed him the opportunity to see the birth of his child while sitting on a plane.

While waiting on the JFK runway, Green witnessed the birth in first class on a commercial flight to San Francisco. “Tried to get out of New York as fast as I could. But the baby came out before I took off," he recalls, according to The Mercury News. "Thank God for technology. I saw the entire thing on FaceTime and then I was able to get there and spend the entire day with them yesterday."

Oh, and he was yelling. “I was sitting on the plane yelling," he said. People thought I was crazy. It was a surreal experience." At one moment, a flight attendant approached Draymond, who apologized for his behavior, adding, "There’s a lot going on right here."

The birth of his son, Draymond Jamal Green, gave the Golden State Warriors star forward a newfound appreciation for women. "After that, I don’t know if I can argue for a man anymore at this point," Draymond said. "It just gives you a completely different outlook on how amazing a women is."
