If he weren't suspended for Game 5, Draymond Green believes the Golden State Warriors would be planning their parade right about now. Earlier today, Green spoke with reporters and didn't mince words when discussing the possible outcome of Monday's game if he didn't get punished by the league.
While it's always hard to predict how well Draymond would've fared on the offensive side of the ball, his real value came on defense. In addition to Kyrie Irving's masterful 41-point performance in Game 5, LeBron James had a breakout game of his own, matching his star point guard's total and becoming the first teammates to score 40+ in the same Finals game. It shouldn't come as a surprise that LeBron played the way he did with Green out of action.
James did manage to find his jumper, but who knows if he would've had the same type of production if Draymond was defending him for a majority of the contest. Well, our answer will come on Thursday when the Cleveland Cavaliers will need a nearly identical game out of Irving and James in order to take the series back to Golden State with a win in Game 6.
