As the brother of Andrew Simeona waited to hear back from a technician about a broken iPhone in a Salt Lake City Apple Store on Wednesday, he struck up a conversation with a random person in the store. The two spoke until the technician returned a few minutes later to inform his brother that the cost to repair his shattered screen would be expensive, and subsequently outside of his price range.

“My brother said, ‘Oh, it’s OK,’ and took his broken phone back,” said Simeona, per Yahoo.

The person that he was just talking to, overheard their interaction, stepped in, and offered to cover the cost. Simeona recalls that the Apple technician went back to him and said, "You realize that’s Donovan Mitchell, right?"

Simeona’s brother had no clue that the person who helped was Utah Jazz star guard and Rookie of the Year runner-up Donovan Mitchell. "It speaks volumes about the kind of guy that Donovan is. There’s a ton of gratitude from our end," Simeona said. "It goes to show you this guy really is trying to do good things and be a decent guy out in the community. He gets so much respect from us about that."

Simeona shared the story on Twitter, and even got a response from Mitchell, who simply stated that it was "all love" and that he was "glad I could help!"

Yahooreports that Simeona declined to share the name of his brother.
