Nashville Sports Anchor Says He Was Fired for Using Prince References Throughout Report

Nashville's WZTV Fox-17 sports anchor Dan Phillips paid tribute to his "favorite musical artist" last week by incorporating as many Prince references in his four-minute report. The entire piece was clever and maybe occasionally forced, but nothing that would be deemed "insensitive."

On Friday, Phillips announced on his Facebook page that he was being terminated over his report which some people believed "felt insensitive."
