Chris Bosh's relationship with Miami Heat president Pat Riley just got real ugly. In the fourth episode, aptly titled "Crossroads," of his UNINTERRUPTED video blog series, Bosh reveals he found out about Riley's declaration that the organization was "not working towards his return" through the media, and didn't receive a phone call or text message from the team. However, a Heat spokesperson has told Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel that Pat did reach out to CB before making the announcement.
"I guess my career in Miami is done. My career is not done," Bosh said. "There's 29 other teams, it's a whole league. One team does not make up the opinion of everything." The 11-time All-Star has released a statement on his site reflecting on his time with the Heat organization, and speaking about his teammates in the past tense. "I enjoyed playing with those guys and doing my best to mentor them by being an upstanding role model and veteran player," Bosh wrote. "It’s their time to go through the ups and downs of the game with this great city."

Bosh is owed $76 million over the next three seasons, but if a doctor determines that he is incapable of playing in the NBA, the Heat can free up tens of millions in cap space during that period. Over the summer, Riley decided to save a few bucks by letting Dwyane Wade sign with the Chicago Bulls after 13 seasons with the organization, instead of signing him to a two-year deal similar to the one Kobe Bryant signed with the Lakers. If Pat thinks he can turn CB's misfortune into a profit for Miami, he's got another thing coming.
