A viral video shows a home owned by Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra engulfed in flames on November 6.

The video shows firefighters working on the blaze.

The fire was "at a home registered to Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra in Miami-Dade, Florida," according to NBC Miami.

According to Local 10, video also showed "the basketball coach distraught outside his home. Assistant coach Chris Quinn was also seen outside the home."

That video went viral on X. It showed him walking back and forth with his hand on his head at one point.

A neighbor told Local 10 that the home was recently renovated, but that Spoelstra had hosted a backyard party there.

NBC Miami reported that, according to the Fire Department, the fire broke out at 4:36 a.m.

Victoria Byrd, a battalion chief for the Fire Department, spoke about the fire in a press conference. The raw video was published by NBC Miami.

In that press conference, she said that firefighters responded to a report "of a residential house fire." Over 20 units responded to the scene, Byrd told reporters. A hazardous materials response was also initiated "to combat this fire," according to Byrd.

"We found fire as tall as the trees," she said. "Our units came in, did an excellent job. We used multiple aerial apparatuses, fire engines, and rescues to help combat this incident."

The home was difficult to access and had only one point of entry due to a privacy wall, Byrd said. The Fire Department was able to put out the blaze and protect the surrounding homes. "It remained as a single family home" fire, she said.

She did not release the cause of the fire nor confirm that Spoelstra owns it. It was not clear whether he was at home at the time that the blaze first started.
