Ole Miss Coach Lane Kiffin has been fielding a lot of rumors about his future lately, namely whether he will hightail it to Florida or LSU.

He dodged questions about his intentions in an interview with ESPN's Marty Smith, saying he was focused on the Egg Bowl.

However, there is one place where Kiffin appears to draw a line — getting called a "hoe" by a reporter.

A viral video posted to X on November 28 by Fox and Outkick reporter Trey Wallace shows Kiffin getting in the face of an Ole Miss reporter who allegedly called him just that.

"Lane Kiffin confronts Ole Miss reporter after...reporter @SpiritBen said earlier in week: 'Can’t turn a hoe into a housewife. Hoes don’t act right,'" Wallace wrote.

@SpiritBen is the X handle for sports journalist Ben Garrett, whose page says he covers Ole Miss for The Ole Miss Spirit.

The video shows Kiffin walking with two police officers before he spins around and walks toward the reporter.

Facing off with the reporter, Kiffin said, "You wanna walk in here and call me a hoe? We'll see how it goes."

In the video, the stunned-looking reporter didn't respond before Kiffin spun back around and walked away.

Some fans mocked Garrett after the incident. "You looked scared as hell when he walked up big guy," wrote one.

"When he leaves for LSU then your phrase will be correct. The issue is that you should of told him again when he was standing in front of you, but you folded. He wasn't gonna hit you," wrote another.

Another person declared, "Bro look scared."

Garrett responded to a person who taunted him about the Kiffin confrontation, writing, "I'm sorry I didn't fight Lane Kiffin?" The person had written, "You weren’t laughing during the confrontation. You’re soft as baby (expletive)."

The reporter laughed about the incident on X. "Kiffin didn’t like the ‘Can’t turn a hoe into a housewife; hoes don’t act right’ line from the podcast. He sought (me) out in the tunnel after the game to tell me," he wrote.

People shared memes and jokes mocking Garrett as his response post went viral.

But other people stood up for Garrett. "Ben just give it 24 hours, these same people trashing you will be calling him worse things than a hoe," wrote a person on X.

But another person told Garrett he should have responded, "I don’t hit hoes under police protection," rather than standing silent.
