Robert Griffin III gave a strong opinion about the Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark rivalry.

During the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky showdown (58-93) on Saturday (May 17), Clark caused a flagrant foul against Reese, the physical contact being rough enough for Reese to land on the floor. The forward would charge at Clark upon getting up, asking, "What the fuck is wrong with you?" Issued technical fouls during the altercation were Reese along with Fever player Aliyah Boston.

Amid the altercation being debated on social media, RGIII shared his input on X shortly after the game. "After watching Caitlin Clark's flagrant foul on Angel Reese and the aftermath, there is no way Angel Reese can continue the lie that she doesn't dislike Caitlin Clark," Griffin wrote. "I know what hatred looks like."

Griffin continued to stress that Reese "hates" her opponent and that it can't simply be reduced to "basketball rivalry." The WNBA stars, who've played against each other since middle school, intensified their basketball feud in college, with Reese's LSU winning over Clark's Iowa in April 2023.

Around the two-minute mark of Indiana's postgame press conference below, Clark denied that she was trying to be "malicious" towards Reese.

"Let's not make it anything that it's not. It was just a good play on the basketball. I'm not sure what the refs saw to upgrade it. That's up to their discretion," she told reporters.
