Basketball player Kiyan Anthony gave a major dedication to his mother, media personality and actress La La Anthony, in the form of new ink.
On Tuesday (July 30), the 17-year-old, who's also the son of former NBA player Carmelo Anthony, shared the tattoo portrait of his mom on Instagram Stories. Done by tattoo artist Steve Wiebe, the message beneath the portrait reads, “Dear Mom, you continuously put me before yourself. You are my why. I thank God for you every day.”
Anthony celebrated his 17th birthday in March. Anthony was sure to post a video montage of the two playing basketball together.
"My relationship with my mom–we're locked in. That's my ride-or-die," Kiyan said in the video below.
“My relationship is that I spent nine months throwing up every day to have this child,” La La added.
Kiyan's new tattoo shows that he and his mother are making progress in terms of him getting inked up, as the teenager had to get permission for a tattoo ahead of his 16th birthday in 2022. In the video below, La La told her son he could "maybe" get a tattoo for his 18th birthday before changing the age to 21 years old.
