Jordon Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend of Bill Belichick, 73, revealed a scathing email pertaining to her partner's new memoir.
Hudson has supported the former New England Patriots general manager throughout his book tour, even intervening in a CBS News Sunday Mornings interview when their relationship was questioned.
But Hudson appears to have gotten permission to share the email, writing on Instagram on Tuesday (April 29) that a "full statement" was to be released later that day. In the email, which listed Belichick's literacy company, Inkwell Management, he expressed frustration around an "ongoing theme" about a segment of his memoir being misinterpreted. Written by Belichick, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football, will be published on May 6.
"This is about what I expected from the media," Belichick began. "We went through how important it was to put 'I f**ked up' in the book, and of course, that is the feature of this article - which is mostly about admitting mistakes and talking about the Super Bowl mistake."
Although Belichick didn't specify the article he referred to, he continued to call the pulled quote "click bait" and predicted salacious "interviews" and podcast appearances.
"These appearances will, no doubt, want to focus on whatever negatives they can extract from the book, and all the current events that don’t have anything to do with the book, but are most relevant to their 'ratings' and their agenda (which is not mine)," he continued.
Belichick concluded by saying that rather than focusing solely on his mistakes, he aimed to highlight his rebuilding of the Patriots, whom he coached from 2000 to 2023.
Meanwhile, Belichick and Hudson have been tight-lipped about how they began dating, as observed in the aforementioned CBS News interview.
"We’re not talking about this," Hudson interjected nearby after anchor Tony Dokoupil asked how they met. The couple reportedly began dating in 2023 before going public last year. From 1977 to 2006, Belichick was married to Debby Clarke Belichick, with whom he shares two children.
