Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has kissed the bachelor life goodbye.
In a chat with People during a Degree launch event on Monday (Sept. 23), the NBA player shared that he and his longtime partner, Mariah Riddlesprigger, had gotten married in Greece. While the couple have individually posted Instagram pictures that appeared to be in Greece last month, the 29-year-old didn't confirm when the wedding ceremony took place.
On the decision to marry in his homeland (Antetokounmpo was born and raised in Athens), he and Riddlesprigger had "always talked about returning" to the destination and chose it "as a couple."
"We were able to have all of the people that were close to us, our family," he told the publication. "Most of my teammates, Bucks teammates, ex-teammates... they were there," Antetokounmpo added, also noting that his friends, business partners, and the couple's three children, Liam Charles, four, and Maverick Shai, three, and Eva Brooke, one, were present.
"We had an incredible few days there together. We had fun," Antetokounmpo gushed. "It was a celebration of our love. Now we've become one. And I'm happy that we did it. I feel like a lot of people had fun."
Now back in Milwaukee, the newlyweds have resumed their philanthropy work, distributing diapers to families in need with the Milwaukee Diaper Mission earlier this week.
"Families need help," Riddlesprigger told media, per Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "You shouldn't have to choose between paying your rent and diapers or feeding your kids. That's the biggest thing for me — using my platform and using my voice to do all I can to make a difference."
