Between her alleged stalker being arrested earlier this week and an incredibly tough loss against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday night, it’s been a stressful week for Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham.
On Wednesday evening, the 29-year-old turned to her Instagram story to show how she decompresses amid all the chaos.
“I feel like, if I were a smoker, tonight would be the night where I would smoke a whole pack, but I am not, so I’m going to eat a couple of cinnamon rolls,” she said.
“I already ate four of them today, might as well finish them off,” she joked.
“A lil somethin to take the edge off,” she wrote along with the video.
Wednesday’s game between the Mercury and the Fever was full of controversy, with a final score of 111-109. After the game, Fever coach Stephanie White blasted officials for failing to protect star player Caitlin Clark.
Meanwhile, Cunningham has been dealing with the recent arrest of her alleged stalker, 48-year-old Kevin Singh of Indianapolis.
Singh is facing felony charges for stalking and intimidation, as well as a misdemeanor harassment charge, after prosecutors accused him of sending threatening and explicit messages to Cunningham for months.
Singh has been accused of sending “multiple threatening and explicit messages” to Cunningham through social media.
"If you won't legit marry me, I'd really like to meet you. I know...you have a billion fans. But I PROMISE it would be fun,” read one message.
In September of 2025, he even came to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to drop off a package addressed to Cunningham. It contained a Guns N' Roses T-shirt that had been sprayed with men’s cologne.
"The internet has made it easier than ever to target, harass, and intimidate others. Threats of violence, whether face-to-face or behind a keyboard, will be taken seriously," said Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears.
Cunningham has stated that Singh’s behavior toward her has led her to suffer from nightmares.
