Ex-Olympic Wrestler Temporarily Avoids Arrest by Fighting Cops

Mimic at your own risk.

Here's a video taken of Vyacheslav Oliynyk a guy you probably never heard of, or don't remember, but one who took home a gold medal in wrestling for Ukraine at the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Oliynyk was already in trouble last week, on his 50th birthday, when he was pulled over due to suspicion of drunk driving. Instead of, say, taking a breathalyzer, or reciting his Ukrainian ABCs backwards, Olinyk escalated things when he politely refused took a god damn swing at a cop, got pepper sprayed, and cracked several times with batons, until he was finally restrained by a swarm of seven officers. Also he got honked at by a car.

What (reportedly) got him to finally relax was his kid crying in the backseat of the vehicle that he was allegedly driving drunk. Afterwards he admitted some fault which, we have to admit, takes a big man:

It's only natural, after reading that quote, to wonder what would be constituted as "bad" in Ukraine. Perhaps fighting 8+ officers? As tempting as it may be to try and mimic this like some sort of scene out of a Rock or Jason Statham movie, we would not (repeat not) try this here in the States.

Call it a hunch.
