Earlier this week, Kevin Durant said some nice things about his new Warriors teammates:
After reading that quote, it's understandable why some people would take his assessment of his new team as a shot against his old team, the Thunder. However, it's also understandable why some other people would think that it's just an innocuous combination of athlete clichés that mean nothing.
Still, bad blood is good for sports, which is why Russell Westbrook—who already has a "touchy" relationship with KD following this summer's offseason drama—was asked about the comments on Wednesday at a Thunder practice. And while we would imagine Westbrook has had just about enough of the KD questions, he did take the time to entertain one about KD's remarks.
"That’s cute, man,” he said after he was read KD's quote. "That’s cute. But my job is to worry about what’s going on here. We’re going to worry about all the selfish guys we got over here apparently." Westbrook then stated that he's sick of being asked about his former teammate, and he told reporters he's not going to answer any more questions about him. You can watch his full answer here:
The Warriors and the Thunder will play on Nov. 3. Good luck avoiding all the questions you're going to get about KD between now and then, Russ.
