According to NBA sources who shared their apparent insider knowledge with ESPN's Frank Isola, the New York Knicks are "gathering intel" on Chris Paul for the purpose of making a trade for him this summer. Adding credence to this rumor is the fact that new Knicks president Leon Rose was Paul's agent prior to taking his current executive position:

After this season, Paul will have two more years before his current deal expires, in which he'll be owed about $85 million. If you're a Knicks fan, you may be torn between wanting a future Hall of Famer who wins a lot of games, and not wanting to trade talent/picks/whatever for an expensive guy in his mid-30s. But, as you're aware, the law of the franchise is that if they don't get him, he'll remain an All-Star, and if they do he'll get hurt or something. Whatever the worst outcome is.
