On Saturday night, at Bellator 158 in London, MMA fighter Michael Page knocked out fellow fighter Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos with a flying knee to his face. The KO was brutal enough, but the talk afterward was about the cute little pre-planned Pokémon​ theme that Page celebrated with:

Unfortunately, the aftermath wasn't as adorable, as Santos (like many a losing Pokémon before him) sustained a fractured skull and nearly died. His ex-wife, MMA fighter Cris Cyborg, posted the following picture to her Instagram on Sunday morning (warning: image is graphic):

As you can see in her caption, Santos is currently waiting to undergo surgery while simultaneously hoping for his brain to stop swelling. Somehow, we doubt that when his headache subsides he'll be able to appreciate being on the receiving end of one of the more visceral KOs in the sport's recent memory:
