Yesterday, the FBI announced they were investigating a supposed ISIS threat on, of all freaking things, the WWE Survivor Series event taking place tonight in Atlanta's Philips Arena. It sounds like a solid storyline, but it's real enough for the feds to release a general statement on the matter, though they don't exactly sound like they're buying it:
Some reports stated that the threats were uncovered by hacking group Anonymous, though that report sounds sketchy, at best. On their Twitter feed Anonymous claimed that they had uncovered no such rumors of any impending attacks:
If you plan on attending, or purchasing the pay-per-view, the show is still slated to go on as scheduled. As for the WWE they continue to "investigate the matter with federal, state and local authorities."
