Check Out Al Pacino as Joe Paterno in Upcoming HBO Film 'Paterno'

'Paterno' will air on April 7.

On Friday, HBO dropped the trailer for their 2018 film Paterno, which is based upon, you guessed it, disgraced ex-Penn State football coach Joe Paterno. As was announced more than five years ago, the film will star Al Pacino who, in addition to his utterly massive big screen resume, got a nomination for Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie thanks to his role as Phil Spector in the appropriately titled HBO movie Phil Spector. Pacino also received a nomination for playing Jack Kevorkian in You Don’t Know Jack.

This newest flick will be about Paterno's life in the aftermath of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal making headlines. As HBO writes:

Paterno is set to air April 7. Watch the trailer up top.
