The Tennessee Titans have been forced to suspend in-person team operations after several members of the organization tested positive for COVID-19.

Per a statement released by the team on Tuesday, three players and five team personnel members make up the group of eight individuals who tested positive. The Minnesota Vikings—who played the Titans on Sunday—will also temporarily suspend any in-person activities for the safety of all players and personnel, ESPN reports.

ProFootballTalk has confirmed that the Vikings have closed their facilities until at least Saturday. The team will reportedly still prepare for Sunday's game against the Steelers remotely. But, this poses safety concerns since the Titans won't have a traditional week of practice before heading into competition against a team that has been able to prepare with full-contact. Mark Maske of The Washington Post reports that the league is taking the situation "day-by-day".

The NFL has reportedly informed the opponents of the Vikings and Titans that their games next week might be rescheduled.

Despite the fact that the NFL made it this far without a real COVID-19 outbreak, Following week 1, the Titans situation is proof of how volatile the situation really is.
