After being forced to watch his former team continue their historic run, ex-Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt may not be out of a job for long.
Multiple teams are reportedly interested in adding the young star to their roster. One league source told ESPN that Hunt will find a new home "sooner rather than later."
Chicago is one of the first potential landing spots. Bears coach Matt Nagy has gone on record saying that the franchise will not rule out the possibility of pursuing Hunt.
"I talked to Kareem, completely wanting to know how he's doing," Nagy said. "We had a good conversation. Here's a kid that I spent a year coaching on offense. It's a tough situation. I wanted to see ... making sure that he's OK but understanding, too, the situation that happened is unfortunate for everybody. He knows that."
The Chiefs released Hunt in late November after a video surfaced of him kicking and shoving a woman in a hotel lobby. Hunt went on ESPN to apologize after he parted ways with Kansas City. "That person in that video did not deserve that," he said. "I didn't mean to hurt anybody or anything like that."
