Adrien Broner Handcuffed by Police After Jaywalking in Miami

Adrien Broner was handcuffed by South Beach police on Saturday after initiating a confrontation with a car driver.

A jaywalking incident almost landed boxer Adrien Broner in more legal trouble.

Adrien Broner was handcuffed by South Beach police on Saturday after initiating a confrontation with a car driver, according to TMZ. Per eyewitnesses, Broner was illegally crossing Miami's busy Collins Avenue with fellow boxer Gervonta Davis when the two strolled in front of a moving car. The driver honked at Broner, which led the boxer to smack the hood of his car, prompting a shouting match that attracted the attention of authorities.

Broner allegedly directed his anger to the officials. As a result, the boxer was handcuffed until he shown he was calm enough to continue his night. He was seen later partying at the Exchange Miami nightclub.

This is far from the boxer's first run-in with the law: Broner's legal troubles have been heavily documented. In February 2018, Broner was accused of forcefully groping a woman outside of an Atlanta Louis Vuitton store. The resulting sexual battery case was dismissed earlier this month.
