San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan is known for his silent but deadly demeanor when going head-to-head against his opponents on the court.

The Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green can attest to the "The Big Fundamental" treating competitors like dirt on his shoulder when they jaw at him. In Green's 10th diary entry for ESPN this NBA playoff season, he tells a story about playing against Duncan as a rookie and realizing that he was never going to get under the veteran's skin. After watching the Spurs get eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder, in what many think could be Duncan's last game, Green shared the following anecdote about trying and failing to talk trash the big man:

After 19 seasons in the league, 15 All-Star appearances, 10 First-Team All-NBA selections, 5 championship rings, and 2 MVP awards, it's no shock Duncan isn't easy to rattle—even for a world-class trash-talker like Green.
