The University of Connecticutwomen’s basketball team crushed Saint Francis on Saturday in a 140-52 victory during the first round of the 2018 NCAA tournament. Winning by damn near 100 points, UConn broke the single-game tournament record for most points scored in Division I women's basketball. Alabama set the original record in 1995 with 121 points in four overtimes.

While they were at it, UConn also set several other records, including NCAA tournament records for points in a quarter (55 in the first), points in a half (94 by halftime), and assists in a game (38).

According to Sports Illustrated, UConn’s “88-point win is the second largest in history in either the men's or women's tournament.” They were one point behind Baylor’s 89-point win over Texas Southern last year.

UConn is 32-0 this season and is the favorite to win another national title.
