Though Terrell Owens is in the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga HOF, he’s been snubbed twice for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Still, this year, he’s again been named as a finalist.

TMZ caught up with the retired wide receiver as he landed in Minneapolis, Minnesota for the Super Bowl, asking Owens if he thinks he’ll make it through this year.

Owens contended that he didn’t care about the Pro Hall of fame, repeating “I’m good” several times, pointing to his place in the Alabama and UTC institutions. When the TMZ reporter pressed Owens if he thinks he’ll be inducted under the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, or Dallas Cowboys, Owens threw some heavy shade. He smiled widely and responded, “Well it won’t be the 9ers.”

Owens got his start with the SF, playing for them from 1996 until 2003. But things didn’t end well between Owens and the 49ers during the final year of his contract, when they got into a disagreement about the terms of his deal. He was finally able to leave the 9ers for the Eagles, landing a seven-year, $49 million contract, as well as a $10 million signing bonus. Owens would only play for the Eagles for one year before moving on to the Cowboys from 2006-2008.

The 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees will be revealed on Feb. 3, one day prior to Super Bowl LII.
