Simone Biles was in a celebratory mood after the Olympics.
Last week, the 27-year-old gymnast joked about being “unwell” from partying in Paris. Now, she’s revealed that during her night out, a Parisian nightclub attempted to charge her a whopping $26,000 for a single bottle of champagne.
“We had closing ceremonies at the Olympics. I went, and after that, we went out,” Biles said in a TikTok video from Monday. “You guys, this club tried to charge me $26,000 for a bottle of Champagne.”
“Like, are you insane?” she added. “Obviously, I didn’t buy it. But why would you even try to play me like that? Like, that’s wild.”
She didn’t share the club’s name, though she was seen last week partying in Paris with her sister at L’Arc. “The reason I’m unwell this morning,” she wrote alongside a snap, which showed a private table, sparklers, champagne, and a group of people celebrating with her.
