Ric Flair’s stepson, Sebastian Kidder has died by suicide.
TMZ reports that the 24-year-old, who was an emerging musician, took his own life over the weekend. His mother, Wendy Barlow, confirmed the news.
“I am devastated and shocked. This is an epidemic with your young men. And mental health…," Barlow told the outlet.
Kidder passed away from a fatal gunshot wound on Saturday afternoon at his family’s home in Georgia. Details about what led to his death are unknown.
In June, Sebastian released his debut album, Under the Moon—a moment Flair celebrated on Instagram.
He also appeared on Fox’s Good Day Atlanta that same month, where he performed and talked about his first album.
According to TMZ, Ric and Wendy dated for quite some time before getting married in 2018, with Sebastian knowing Flair for almost a decade and a half. Flair hasn’t yet addressed his stepson’s death.
