Odell Beckham Jr. Reportedly Isn't Planning on Requesting a Trade From the Browns

While Odell Beckham has had a tough first season with the Cleveland Browns, he reportedly doesn’t intend on requesting a trade. However, Beckham and a group of core veteran Browns players are curious to see if any changes can be made to the team’s staff and scheme in 2020, CBS Sports reports.

One change that's reportedly been discussed is coaching calls. Head coach Freddie Kitchens has found it difficult to maintain the team’s discipline while also making offensive calls. Part of the organization thinks coordinator Todd Monken should have been given a bigger role in coaching. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has also regressed in his second season as his relationships with his teammates have eroded thanks to his comments on contracts and their injuries.

Beckham—who was acquired by the Browns in a massive deal with the New York Giants—has been discouraged this season but has held his tongue. Meanwhile, the Browns are on the brink of being eliminated from playoff contention after many expected at least a decent playoff run.

Beckham hasn't done enough to dispel doubts in his future at Cleveland. In early December, he vaguely said during a press conference that, "This is exactly where I’m at right now, and I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else." He also took to Twitter to deny he ever said he "was not happy in Cleveland."
