Daniel Cormier is denying the legitimacy of a DM exchange between him and Eric Trump in which Trump inquired about fixed UFC fights.

TMZ Sports caught up with Cormier in DC, where, according to the outlet, the former UFC fighter claimed that the screenshots were fake.

“Not real, I can't believe you guys believed that,” Cormier said. “Like who believes something like that?”

"I got hacked or something," Cormier explained. “Who believes stuff like that? That's crazy,” adding, “Why would I do that?”

Over the weekend, before the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House, a tweet went out from Cormier’s verified X account, which said, “I’m probably going to get a lot of flak for bringing this to light, however I refused to stay silent. The UFC is a sport that I am deeply passionate about I will not tolerate this type of insider behavior. Shame on anyone trying to ruin this beautiful event.”

Included in the tweet were screenshots of alleged DMs between Cormier and Trump, who reached out to ask if DC was placing any bets and if he knew of any injuries sustained by the fighters.

The screenshot ended with a message from Trump asking if any of the fights are “rigged.”

Cormier later tweeted, “Are people really this dumb?”

Eric also deemed the messages to be AI: “This did not happen. They were AI generated. Please be careful with reporting,” he tweeted.
