Coco Gauff struck gold at this year’s WTA Finals in Saudi Arabia and had a hilarious reaction after learning how much she earned.

“Okurrrr,” the 20-year-old casually proclaimed after being informed that she had a $4,805,000 payout coming her way following her week in Riyadh.

“I didn’t know, like I knew it was some money, but I didn’t know that much,” she continued. “Oh gosh, I hope I’m like one of the highest-paid female tennis players this year or athletes so that’ll be exciting."

Gauff added that she didn't realize it as the "biggest prize check" on the tour. "I didn’t know anything about that. I knew there was money, but I try not to never play for this, but that’s cool," she explained.

Gauff won the Billie Jean King Trophy over the weekend after defeating China’s Olympic gold medalist Qinwen Zheng, making this Gauff’s ninth career WTA Tour singles title, per Forbes. Her $4.8 million payout is the biggest ever in her career.

According to Express, Gauff’s winnings come from a $335,000 participation fee, $700,000 for two group wins, $1,270,000 for semi-final success, and $2.5 million for landing the trophy.

The WTA title is her biggest win since clinching the 2023 US Open. Gauff remains the third ranked player in the world.
