Claressa Shields has entered the chat.
The professional boxer took to X on Thursday night (May 22) to respond to Remy Ma’s tirade aimed at Papoose. Earlier in the day, Remy aired her grievances on an Instagram Live session, where she accused her ex of stalling their divorce plans. He later claimed she cheated on him.
A heated back-and-forth ensued between Remy and Pap, prompting Shields to share her perspective.
“IDK. Where to start,” she started.
“I’m a read in between the lines type person. Even if the lines are lies!” Shields continued in a follow-up tweet before referencing her recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, where she discussed Papoose and Remy's split.
“I have a lot of respect for the truth. I heard so many lies today it was crazy, one, if my breakfast club interview triggered her that much… just wait til I address the lies she told today.”
She then clarified a few rumors in a handful of tweets, including denying that Papoose is her manager, calling him “loyal and solid,” and that he and Remy were separated long before he met Claressa.
In further tweets, she addressed her financial situation, writing, “I’m sorry to tell you but I fight too good to be broke.” She also shared that Pap isn’t broke, and that he drives a Mercedes-Benz and has “his own place.”
“Good night,” Shields wrote, concluding her tweets. “Now If I wake up tomorrow to some more bullshit….. it’s gonna be a problem.”
On Thursday, after Remy accused Papoose of delaying their divorce proceedings, he claimed on IG Live that Remy cheated on him “numerous times” and said she was trying to get back together.
Remy responded again on IG Live, saying she would drag Papoose and his "come up" (a.k.a. Shields) if need be.
"I was just trying to get back with you yesterday?" Remy said. "Get back with what? Get back with what? Why the fuck would I be trying to get back with you, sir? Stop lying to these people."
