LeBron James began his day with a "proud dad moment."

As he was headed to practice, the NBA star shared a series of Instagram stories of his 14-year-old son LeBron Jr, a.k.a. Bronny, in the driveway working on his dunk. James made sure to point out that the videos were taken shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday before sunrise, which, of course, highlighted Bronny's dedication and work ethic.

"It's in his [DNA]," James captioned one of the stories.

Moments later, James' other son, 12-year-old Bryce, joined Bronny's workout.

"He heard the ball bouncing," James wrote. "In his [DNA] too."

Hours after he shared the footage, the Lakers star returned to social media to reflect on the moment and how it had literally brought tears to his eyes.

"Man seeing my boys outside hooping at 5am literally made me cry in the car riding to my workout," he wrote.

Bronny recently returned from a trip to China, where he and his Sierra Canyon teammates went head-to-head with local high school basketball teams. James shared footage of the match-ups online:
