Thieves Broke Into Nick Young's House and Stole a Safe Full of Cash and Jewelry

Nick Young lost $500,000 worth of items when someone broke into his Los Angeles home and stole an entire safe.

Back in 2014, someone broke into Nick Young’s Los Angeles area home and stole more than $100,000 worth of items, including a pair of Nike Air Yeezy 2 "Red Octobers." Since then, the Lakers star has presumably stepped up the security measures in his home by installing a safe to stash all of his valuables.

But according to TMZ Sports, that didn’t stop thieves from breaking into his home back in February to steal from him again. And during the heist, they apparently made off with quite a bit of cash and jewlery by taking his entire safe.

TMZ Sports is reporting that Young was robbed of more than $500,000 in cash and jewelry last month. Thieves reportedly broke into his home and took $30,000 in cash, three gold chains, and a custom ring during the robbery. But their biggest takeaway was undoubtedly the locked safe. It’s unclear what Young was keeping inside of it, but it sounds like he must have had some extremely valuable items in the safe. Police are investigating the break-in and have not made any arrests in connection to it just yet.

There are a handful of other celebrities who have also had their Los Angeles homes broken into over the course of the last few weeks. According to TMZ, Dodgers star Yasiel Puig, former NBA player/coach Derek Fisher, singer Alanis Morrissette, and others have also reported burglaries. Police are trying to figure out if all of the break-ins have been carried out by a single burglary ring.

Young might want to invest in even more security for his home moving forward. Between this story and the one about Gilbert Arenas breaking into his house last summer, he clearly can't seem to keep the bad guys out of his house.
