From Dana White to, of course, Tom Brady, there have been more than a few athletes who have shown support for Donald Trump’s Presidential run over the last month or so. And now, there’s one more to add to the list: former NFL star Shawne Merriman.
TMZ Sports caught up with Merriman this week and asked him if Brady should get a pass from the public for supporting his friend Trump. Merriman responded by saying Trump is his friend, too.
“He’s a good friend of mine,” Merriman said, before revealing why he thinks Trump would be a good President. “He’s a little bit more honest than others.”
How many other athletes consider Trump a “good friend”?! We had no idea he was so connected in the sports world.
