Late Sunday, a bizarre story about Ole Miss star Robert Nkemdiche emerged. Apparently, he fell out of a fourth-floor window at a hotel in Atlanta on Saturday night and, miraculously, only suffered “multiple cuts” when he did it. Now, some new details about the incident have emerged.
According to Fox Sports, Nkemdiche—who is projected to be a top-five pick in the NFL Draft next spring—was smoking synthetic weed in his hotel room before falling out of the window at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta hotel. He reportedly thought he was being chased after smoking the weed, which is why he made his way out of the window. Fortunately, he landed on some bushes when he fell and wasn’t seriously hurt, but he was reportedly unable to tell police who he was or how he had fallen out of the window when they arrived.
An investigation into Nkemdiche’s actions is ongoing. But it’s worth nothing that, earlier this fall, his brother Denzel was hospitalized after smoking synthetic weed. He reportedly ended up on the roof of the townhouse he lives in and was also afraid that someone was chasing after him.
Stay tuned for additional details about this story. For now, we know that Nkemdiche has been charged with marijuana possession and that it seems as though he didn't suffer any major injuries, but something tells us there’s still way more to this story.
