Back in 2012, Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewskigot the chance to meet Beyoncé at a Sports Illustrated"Sportsman of the Year" dinner. He helped introduce LeBron James to the crowd at the dinner, and after he was finished, he walked up to Beyoncé and introduced himself. He talked about it the following year during a speech at Duke and admitted that he felt like a "little boy" when he met the singer.
During a town hall meeting on WRAL in Raleigh, N.C. this week, Coach K was asked about meeting Beyoncé again and OMG HE STILL HASN'T GOTTEN OVER IT, YOU GUYS! It has been almost three years now since he took a photo with Beyoncé, but he sounds like a guy who still hasn't washed the suit that he was wearing the night that he had the privilege of being in her presence.
"After the [SI event] was over, I had to get back and [the photographers] took a photo of me, Jay Z, and LeBron," he said during the town hall meeting. "My street cred is just bouncing high. But I didn't get to meet [Beyoncé], so I went up and said, 'I'm Coach K,' and she says, 'I just heard you speak for ten minutes. I know who you are.' So I felt like 13, and then I asked her—something I hardly ever ask anyone to do—'Would you please take a picture with me?'"
