2015 was a really tough year for Matt Barnes. Here are just a few of the things that happened to him over the course of the last 365 days:
- He yelled something really mean at James Harden’s mom during a playoff game—and was fined $50,000 for doing it.
- He got called out by Rihanna for suggesting that he was hooking up with her.
- He was involved in a physical confrontation with his former friend/teammate Derek Fisher, who is now dating his ex Gloria Govan.
- He got traded by the Clippers and revealed that he didn’t really get along with his former coach Doc Rivers.
- He was suspended by the NBA for two games for his fight with Fisher.
And on and on and on…
It doesn’t sound like any of that is going to stop Barnes from making the most of 2016. But before he rang in the new year last night, he took to Instagram to talk about how much his 2015 sucked, and he didn’t hold back at all. From the problems he had with Govan to getting “lied on by a pop star” to the situation with Fisher, Barnes addressed everything that happened to him last year as only he can.
