Here's How Pro Athletes Have Responded to Donald Trump's 'Locker Room Talk' Defense

Pro athletes from all different sports have spoken up against Donald Trump’s "locker room talk" defense.

After Donald Trump got caught making a series of wildly inappropriate remarks about women in a 2005 recording on Friday, he responded by putting out a statement that dismissed his comments as "locker room banter." And both before and during the second presidential debate on Sunday night, he doubled and then tripled down on that statement by once again dismissing his 2005 comments as nothing more than "locker room talk."

"This was locker room talk," he said during the debate. "I am not proud of it. I apologized to my family and the American people. I am not proud of it. This is locker room talk."

Trump’s "locker room talk" has made him look bad, but it’s also reflected poorly on all of the athletes out there, too. Like, are Trump’s 2005 remarks really an accurate reflection of how athletes talk when they’re in the locker room?!

Unfortunately, we’re sure that some do. But we’re also pretty confident that the majority of athletes don’t talk like Trump did. And over the last few days, quite a few of them have spoken up on social media and pointed out that they most definitely do not use lewd phrases like "grab them by the pussy" in the locker room.
