The Floyd Mayweather/Conor McGregor saga continues…

Even though it doesn’t seem like that silly Mayweather/McGregor fight is ever going to happen, Mayweather isn't done taking shots at the UFC champion. TMZ Sports caught up with the retired boxer in New York City on Monday, and when he was asked if he had seen McGregor beat Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 on Saturday night, Mayweather said he hadn't. And then, he went on a five-minute rant about why people shouldn’t compare him to McGregor. Mayweather remained pretty low-key throughout the rant, but it’s clear he doesn’t agree with those people who compare the two fighters.

You can watch a portion of the rant above. You can also read what Mayweather said here:

"I’m an elephant. An elephant don’t beef with ants" definitely belongs on a T-shirt.

Oh, and just in case you’re still holding out hope for a Mayweather/McGregor matchup (you should probably stop, like, now), here’s Skip Bayless making a case for why he thinks McGregor would beat Mayweather in a boxing match on Monday’s Undisputed:

That should tell you where we're at with this whole Mayweather/McGregor madness. Someone make it end.
