Last night, the Kansas City Royals knocked off the Oakland Athletics 9-8 in a crazy Wild Card play-in game to advance to the next round of the 2014 MLB Playoffs. And because it's been 29 looooooong years since the Royals have been to the postseason, we expected everyone inside of Kauffman Stadium in KC to be going crazy for the entire game. For the most part, they delivered. But when Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer walked up to the plate in the bottom of the 12th inning and proceeded to hit a triple to put the tying run into scoring position, there was at least one fan who missed it. And he missed it because he was sleeping. Yes, sleeping.

We don't know how they manage to do it. But in recent years, there have been more than a few sports fans who have fallen asleep right in the middle of games. Just scroll down to see photos of 25 Fans Who Got Caught Sleeping at Sporting Events. If you need a nap this badly, why not just stay home?
