Do you remember the way Derek Jeter confirmed he was engaged to then-girlfriend Hannah Davis back in November 2015? He casually slipped a confirmation into a story about his dog on The Players’ Tribune. And Davis, who is now married to Jeter following their wedding in July 2016, just did essentially the same thing on Monday morning when she casually announced that she is pregnant in a story published on The Players’ Tribune.
Much of the post that Davis put up focused on how she didn’t know anything about Jeter when she first met him. She wrote at length about how she thought Jeter was a pitcher for the Yankees (uhhh...?!?) and admitted she didn't see why he was such a big deal in New York City at the start of their relationship. But then, she casually dropped the pregnancy bombshell into the end of her piece without warning and revealed that the couple is having a girl. She did so while explaining that she wants their daughter to get to know Jeter just as she did.
