The new year is about 19 hours old and there hasn't been a truly great college football play. Damn, 2016 is already a major disappointment.
But better late than never. Stanford is smacking Iowa and they're doing it in style. They were up 28-0 by the time they decided to further break the Hawkeyes' spirit by giving them a modicum of hope. The Hawkeyes thought Stanford fumbled until 31 yards and a Michael Rector touchdown later. It was 35-0 by halftime. Iowa's 2016 hasn't been great.
