Spike Lee on Kristaps Porzingis: "He's Not Scared of the Brothers"

When the Knicks selected Kristaps Porzingis with the fourth overall pick in this summer's draft, boos rained down from the fans inside the Barclays Center, mainly because they had no idea what to expect.

But Porzingis has proven worthy of his lofty draft status thus far. He poured in a career-high 29 points in just his 12th game with the Knicks, and has quickly become a fan favorite in part due to his ability to consistently come up with spectacular plays.

Spike Lee is perhaps the biggest Knicks fan of them all, or at the very least, he's the most visible. Speaking in a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Lee explained that he too was already a believer in the legend of Porzingis, albeit for a slightly different reason.

"He's taking over," Lee said. "He's 7'3", he's only 20, he's going to put on some more pounds, and he can play. And you know what? He's not scared of the brothers, either. He ain't scared of the brothers. He's playing. He gets right in there."

Based on the way Porzingis has already made a name for himself with a series of put-back slams, it really doesn't appear as though he's scared of anyone at this point.
