Donald Trump Congratulates Tom Brady on His Suspension Being Lifted: "Tom Is My Friend and a Total Winner!"

Donald Trump has been on Tom Brady's side in the whole Deflategate saga from day one. He wanted Brady to sue the NFL for $250 million, and made his feelings on the matter crystal clear anytime he was asked.

Now that a judge has lifted Brady's four-game suspension, Trump took to Twitter to congratulate Brady on prevailing in the case.

It seems very important to Trump that people know that Brady is his friend. He reiterates it here, after saying so fairly recently. It's unclear whether or not this (one-sided) association with Brady will assist Trump in his bid to become president, but politics are tricky, and he probably believes aligning himself with a four-time Super Bowl champion will only help his chances.
