Irish cyclist Matt Brammeier suffered multiple injuries after colliding head-on with a car during the Tour of Utah bike race on Saturday.

He appeared to be slightly out of control while heading downhill at a high speed, although on such a severe turn like that, there probably shouldn't have been so many automobiles present.

Race officials say Brammeier suffered broken ribs, a fractured pelvis and a punctured lung, according to FOX 13 in Salt Lake City -- which seems about right for such a violent collision.
