Kyrie Irving hopped on social media Friday to defend himself and teammate Kevin Durant, after a troll on Twitter said the pair would have the combined maturity level of an “upset eighth grader.”

“I think if you combined @KDTrey5 and @KyrieIrving maturity you would get the grand total of an upset 8th grader,” the Twitter user wrote.

Hours later, Kyrie came to his and KD’s defense, writing, “Or You get an example of Black Indigenous Excellence at a craft that only a few individuals out billions of people can do.”

It didn’t end there. Irving engaged with another critic who blamed the polarizing point guard for James Harden’s departure, claiming that the latter “probably couldn’t foresee you [Kyrie] being a weirdo anti-vaxxer who only plays road games.”

Kyrie clapped back by flexing his enormous wealth.

“Orrrrr regardless of anything, I am set up for the rest of my life and so are the next seven generations of family members that come after,” he wrote. “I did this all before turning 30, so I love being a weirdo lol.”

From there, Irving answered a fan who asked him to explain the “bigger picture,” by telling him he’s focused on “our people’s liberation from this oppressive system that we live in based on race and capitalism.”

Kyrie’s Twitter session wrapped up with one fan urging him to get vaccinated.

“You got what you wanted @KyrieIrving now give us what we want and go get vaccinated,” they wrote, to which Irving responded with, “Nah.”
