Draymond Green's outspokenness is now going to cost him some dollars. The Golden State Warriors star is being fined $25,000 for his public critiques of the tense relationships between NBA players and the league's referees, ESPN reports.

The power forward stated that all referees across the board should be replaced. "It's ruining the game...It should be one of, if not the main priority, to be solved. It definitely should,” Green said in an interview with The Athletic on Saturday. “They can get a new crop [of referees], a whole new crop...Too many personal things going on. Too much me against you. It just don't work that way.”

“I feel like, if I was a ref, and if all year constantly, every game, all game, players from both sides were talking to me, trying to tell me how to do my job, I would feel a certain type of way coming into games, sometimes," he continued. “But as players, we just want a nice dialogue. We want to be able to talk it out out there."

These were fineable comments.

Green was previously fined $25,000 for fighting Washington Wizards' Bradley Beal in October. Warriors coach Steve Kerr didn't quite consider the altercation a "fight" per se. "I don't know how you get fined 25 grand for getting attacked," he said.
