Nikki Bella’s digital comeback just got a major glow-up.
Following weeks of backlash over her in-game appearance, the WWE 2K25 developers have officially released an update that gives the Hall of Famer a redesigned character model, new entrance, and updated details, according to WrestleZone.
According to the most recent patch notes for version 1.27, the update adds an improved model for Bella that includes a fresh hairstyle, refined facial rendering, and a complete entrance animation.
The patch also introduced new content for other major WWE stars, including updated models for John Cena and Brock Lesnar, a 2010 persona for Drew McIntyre with a Teddy Long storyline, and several gameplay and stability fixes.
The 1.27 patch follows Bella’s addition to The Island expansion in September, where she appeared alongside Goldberg as part of the Attitude Era Superstars Pack. While Goldberg remained quiet about his inclusion, Bella quickly made headlines for her open criticism of how she was portrayed in the game.
On X (formerly Twitter), she wrote:
Days later, she and her twin sister, Brie Bella, discussed the issue in detail on The Nikki and Brie Show podcast. Brie called the model “super ugly,” while Nikki questioned whether her character “even looked like a female fully.” She added, “Girl, the whole thing’s terrible. Think of how I feel. I go, ‘That’s what you guys think of me? That’s how you think I look?’”
Her comments quickly circulated among WWE fans and gaming creators, sparking widespread conversation about accuracy and quality control in WWE 2K25. Unlike most player complaints that go unanswered, this time the developers responded directly, confirming that Bella had been rescanned for future releases and updating her likeness in the latest patch.
WWE 2K25 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game’s final downloadable content pack, Saturday Night’s Main Event, will be released on November 12.
